Be part of a CSEL research study

We cannot build this body of evidence without the help of people who take part in our studies.

Previous research has shown that people who take part in research about trauma do sometimes find it distressing, but they are still glad that they took part. One refugee who took part in a research study said, "I thought that if I can help with my information, I am willing to do so although it is painful to talk".

Others have told us that they found it helpful to talk.

We are currently recruiting people who have had a traumatic experience to help us with a study on memory. We would need to interview you twice and have you fill out some standard questionnaires. Please call Jane Herlihy at CSEL, or email j.herlihy@csel.org.uk to find out more.

Do you work with people who have had traumatic experiences? Would they be willing to help with our research? Please ask them to contact Jane Herlihy at CSEL, or let us know if we may contact you or them directly.
