Training
We can offer training for:
- Legal and quasi-legal advisors.
- Barristers.
- Decision makers.
- Mental health professionals.
- Refugee community organisations offering advice and support to asylum seekers.
We can offer training on:
- The psychological evidence for the effects of trauma in the process of seeking asylum.
- Understanding the research evidence and applying it to asylum casework the research evidence and vulnerable asylum seekers.
- Working with vulnerable asylum seekers (interviewing, taking a statement, supporting, when to refer).
- The importance of burnout, secondary traumatisation and vicarious traumatisation to people working with traumatised refugees, and techniques for self-care.
